I am an Indian-American journalist living in India. I am currently the South Asia correspondent for the Washington Post.

Most recently, I was on a Fulbright research project studying tech work in small Indian towns. I have previously worked at or written for the Indian Express, Wall Street Journal, CNN, Scroll.in, and Radiolab. My words have also appeared in Bloomberg Businessweek and Quartz.

I was part of a team that was nominated for the Pulitzer. I have also won grants and awards from RedInk, the Society of Publishers in Asia, the South Asian Journalism Association, and the Earth Journalism Network. One of my stories, Human Touch, went on to become an award-winning film, Humans in the Loop.
