Entertainment

As Editor-in-chief of Monta Vista's high school news magazine and magazine my senior year, I managed 50-person staff, oversaw news website and monthly newsmagazine, led the transition from newspaper to newsmagazine as the only Editor-in-chief, and worked with substitute for half of the year because adviser was pregnant.

As the first junior managing editor, I helped design and build the website which won several high school journalism awards.

As a staff reporter (while I took on leadership roles), I published more than 60 content items in every section (entertainment, opinion, sports, and news). I especially enjoyed breaking news items and investigative news reporting. I also explored multiple multimedia avenues including video, audio slideshow and flash.
